I ask because for most of my life since I was little, I have wished on stars, believed and with everything in me, and always knew what my heart desires. Still, nothing ever came true.

Did I do it wrong? Did I wish for the wrong things? Did I believe wrong? Do I not know what my heart desires? Or is it that dreams, wishes, and deep strong powerful desires are meant for others and not for me?

All the endless days and nights I have cried, wondering why.

Growing up, I watched The Wonderful World of Disney. Walt Disney was one of my heroes. He spoke of and wrote about in his animated features and movies about wishing on stars and dreams coming true. Just believe with everything.

He convinced me so much, that I moved to work at Walt Disney World just so that all my dreams would come, to be up close and personal with the “MAGIC”the wonder of it all.

Everyday was hell. I would go to work sprinkling on my “Pixie Dust” while plastering on a smile for the guest of that day. There was no need for them to endure my unhappiness.

I couldn’t believe it, here I was in “THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH” and it felt like I had died and gone to “THE WORST PLACE IN THE GALAXY” that anyone could ever imagine. It was during that time that I stopped wishing, dreaming, believing, and knowing that my dreams would ever come true.

Somewhere along the way, I began to wish on stars, believe with everything within me, and know what my heart desires. Even though none of my dreams have come true, I still believe wholeheartedly in happily ever after and love at first sight.

There have been days where I have asked whether or not do dreams really come true. I know for sure that there is no such thing as impossible. I only believe in “POSSIBILITIES” only because I see it in the goodness of strangers who help others. They make the impossible possible. I see it when two people who seem as if they will never come together end up spending a lifetime together. I see it when a person who has dreams of being an artist suddenly has eyes of the world gazing upon them as they achieve bigger and bolder dreams everyday. 

Maybe one day, somehow someway, my dreams will come true just as Walt Disney said. Stay tuned…
